EMANS is the only system in the world to utilize radio transmitted wall mounted wireless receivers and pagers as simultaneous and integrated backup to the conventional text messaging, email notification and desktop pop up alert notification methods.
When an emergency occurs, time is of the essence. EMANS provides nearly instant, critical notification capability to all networked computer monitors at the facility through EMANS Desktop Alert. Concurrently within 10-15 seconds, all EMANS wireless wall-mounted and mobile pager units within 40 miles of the command center receive the alpha, text message alert through EMANS Direct Transmission Capability.
Note: EMANS Direct Transmission Capability operates within the facilities infrastructure and is not contingent on cellular towers or an internet connection. While the initial alert has reached desktop screens, wireless receivers, and/or mobile paging units, the message notification continues via cellular text messaging and email notification.
Note: Cellular text notification has value in reaching a large volume of recipients; however, its effectiveness may be diminished as an emergency unfolds due to cellular tower overload. Likewise, text messaging will only reach those who have subscribed and registered with the organization’s emergency preparedness plan… unfortunately, that may leave a great number of people uninformed about the emergency... until it’s too late. Similarly, Email notification is effective in relaying information more as an “after-action” review or in follow-up.
